Summary The Production Executive/Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the solar PV module manufacturing line. This includes maintaining quality standards, ensuring production targets are met, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring safety and compliance across the production floor. Production Planning & Execution: Execute daily production plans as per schedule. Coordinate with planning and stores for raw material availability. Optimize machine utilization and manpower allocation. Process Monitoring & Control: Monitor each stage of the PV module production line (e.g., cell stringing, lamination, framing, EL testing). Ensure adherence to SOPs and work instructions. Identify and troubleshoot process deviations or bottlenecks. Quality Control: Work closely with Quality team to ensure in-process and final quality standards. Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for process rejections or failures. Support FQC/IPQC audits and ensure zero-defect output. Team Supervision: Supervise line operators, technicians, and contract workers. Train new workers on standard procedures and safety norms. Ensure discipline and attendance of production staff. Machine & Equipment Coordination: Collaborate with Maintenance for timely servicing and breakdown handling. Ensure proper operation and cleanliness of production equipment. Safety & Compliance: Enforce plant safety practices and use of PPE. Report any unsafe conditions or incidents. Follow EHS policies and statutory compliance. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain production records, shift reports, and downtime logs. Support data entry for ERP/production management systems. Submit daily MIS reports to management. Qualifications & Skills: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant engineering field. 1–3 years of experience in solar PV module manufacturing preferred. Familiarity with machines like stringer, laminator, EL tester. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Willingness to work in shifts and under pressure.
