Design Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and Design Engineer with expertise in sheet metal design, metallurgy, and manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the design and development of 2D drawings, assembly design, press parts, and fabrication. The role will require proficiency in tool design for process development, with a deep understanding of GD&T and BOM creation. Key Responsibilities:

• Process Design & Development:
• Lead the design and optimization of sheet metal components and assemblies for various projects.
• Develop and improve process designs in the areas of fabrication and press part manufacturing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet functional, safety, and performance standards.
• 2D Drawing Creation & GD&T Understanding:
• Create and interpret 2D drawings with an in-depth understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Ensure that drawings and models align with industry standards and company specifications.
• Assembly Design & BOM Creation:
• Design and create assemblies, ensuring all components are effectively integrated for optimal performance.
• Generate and manage Bills of Materials (BOM) for production and assembly.
• Tool Design & Development:
• Provide expertise in tool design, particularly in the development of press tools and fixtures for sheet metal processing.
• Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure tools and processes are optimized for quality and efficiency.
• Fabrication & Pressparts:
• Coordinate the fabrication process for press parts, ensuring cost-effective and timely production.
• Troubleshoot and optimize press part manufacturing techniques.
• Collaboration and Reporting:
• Collaborate with other engineers, designers, and manufacturing teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Use MS Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint to report findings, progress, and provide technical documentation.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Technical Skills:
• Proficient in AutoCAD and UG NX for 2D drawing creation and 3D modeling.
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles.
• Experience in assembly design and Bill of Materials (BOM) creation.
• Expertise in tool design for sheet metal, press tools, and fixtures.
• Knowledge of fabrication processes and press part manufacturing.

• MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint

Job Types: Full-time, Fresher

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
