Are you ready to take your data engineering skills to the next level? Metacube Software is on a mission to modernize our data infrastructure, and we’re looking for a talented Data Engineer to join our team!

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Extraction:

  Develop stored procedures to extract data from legacy Microsoft SQL Server databases and transform it for Azure SQL databases.

• ETL & Integration Development:

  Build data workflows using Azure Data Factory and design data pipelines in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to manage Firestore databases.

• Schema Management:

  Collaborate with our Application Development team to refactor Azure SQL schema structures and document NoSQL schemas for our applications.

• Documentation & Knowledge Transfer:

  Create comprehensive technical documentation and assist in training materials for internal teams.

Technologies We Use:

• Cloud Platforms:

  Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Databases:

  Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL, Firestore (NoSQL)

• ETL Tools:

  Azure Data Factory, Google Data Fusion

• Developer Tools:

  SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), Firestore Console, Azure Portal

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in building data pipelines and migrating data to cloud-based systems.
• Strong SQL development skills, particularly in writing and optimizing stored procedures.
• Familiarity with NoSQL database design, especially Firestore.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory or similar ETL tools.
• Excellent documentation skills and the ability to collaborate in an Agile environment.
