Business Development Manager - Metallurgy

Responsibilities

• Identify and generate leads in the metallurgy and materials engineering sectors.
• Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base.
• Understand technical requirements and provide solutions tailored to customer needs.
• Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and business opportunities.
• Build strong, long-term relationships with clients and partners.
• Present and demonstrate technical capabilities of products or services.
• Prepare proposals, quotations, and negotiate contracts.
• Collaborate with R& D and production teams to ensure client requirements are met.
• Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events.
• Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and updates to management.
  

Requirements

• Education: B. E. /B. Tech in Metallurgy/Materials Science/Mechanical or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• 2-5 years of experience in business development, preferably in metallurgy, foundry, or metal-based industries.
• Strong technical knowledge of metals, alloys, heat treatment, and testing methods.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and reporting tools.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
