Backend Software Engineer

VIPSCloud PMS is our flagship product for providing the best property management system that is affordable and loaded with features for managing small, medium, and large hotel chains. We provide the best customer experience through our products when it comes to managing a hotel, be it a 2-room bed and breakfast accommodation or a 500+ room holiday parks.

If so, we are looking for a strong engineer for the VIPSCloud PMS team in India to build applications and micro-services for millions of our customers using .NET Core, Azure SQL, and other native Azure services.

As an SE II on this team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the definition, design, vision, roadmap, and product features from beginning to end. You will develop scalable, reliable, and extensible services using native cloud technologies with Microsoft Azure. You will create efficiencies both in your team and others through reusable processes and designs. As an SE II you will mentor other SE I’s in the team and work with Sr.SEs and Principal Engineers in driving the team goals. You need to communicate efficiently and understand the requirements of stakeholders to drive consensus between different teams and deliver software efficiently. You should be curious to learn about modern technologies and solve complex problems for our customers.

You will partner with SE III’s on the team to drive execution of our roadmap and architectural plans for the technology as well as drive tradeoff decisions balancing long-term vision with immediate impact on our customers. You will get an opportunity to be mentored by Principal Engineers and other Sr.Engineers on the team while working on the goals.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering or Master's in Computer Science / IT, ECE, or related fields.

• 4 -8 Years of experience in developing .NET CORE applications using C#.

Required Skills/Knowledge

• Strong object-oriented design and coding skills (C# .NET Core)

• Should have good knowledge in designing & developing building APIs (preferably using .NET CORE WEB API).

• Experience in EF.CORE, MS SQL / Azure SQL databases/ RabbitMQ.

• Experience building cloud services on Azure.

• Experience in NoSQL database.

• Experience in using Design patterns.

• Good knowledge of Open API and API documentation

• Experience in Authentication and Authorizations.

• Experience in writing automated unit test cases.

• Good understanding and usage of Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies

• Experience communicating with users, software development engineering teams, product owners to collect requirements, describe software product features and technical designs.

• Demonstrated ability to mentor junior software engineers or software developers in all aspects of their engineering activities.

• Strong experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems and algorithms.

• Should be strong in development and enthusiasm to learn modern technologies

• Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.

• Deal well with ambiguous / undefined problems; ability to think abstractly.

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: ₹1,600,000.00 - ₹2,400,000.00 per year
