About the Role:

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, Kinesis, and Airflow
• Leverage AWS services like S3, Redshift, RDS, DynamoDB, EMR, Athena, and Lake Formation
• Write and optimize Python code for data processing and automation (PySpark experience preferred)
• Design and manage relational and NoSQL databases (MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Implement data modeling, warehousing, and governance best practices
• Monitor and optimize performance, scalability, and cost of data infrastructure
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineering teams
• Maintain clear technical documentation and stay updated with AWS innovations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 6–8 years of hands-on experience in data engineering on AWS
• Strong proficiency in Python and AWS data services
• Expertise in MS SQL Server and other databases
• Experience with orchestration tools like Step Functions and Airflow
• Solid understanding of data lakes, warehousing, and ETL/ELT methodologies
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
