Role Description

This is a part-time on-site role for an Assistant Professor at Amity School of Fashion Technology, located in Kolkata. The Assistant Professor will be responsible for teaching courses in Fashion Design, Fashion Communication, and Fashion Technology. Day-to-day tasks include delivering lectures, guiding students in practical work, developing course materials, and mentoring students. The role also involves conducting research, participating in departmental activities, and contributing to the overall development of the department.

Qualifications

• Teaching and mentoring skills in Fashion Design, Fashion Communication, and Fashion Technology
• Experience in course material development and classroom management
• Proficiency in practical instruction, such as Pattern Making, Garment Construction, and Fashion Illustration
• Research skills and the ability to contribute to academic publications
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students
• Master's degree or higher in Fashion Design, Fashion Technology, or a related field
• Relevant industry experience is a plus
