Overview:

The Purchase position will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing a wide range of materials, including raw materials, packaging materials, marketing collaterals, and gift with purchases etc. The candidate should possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, be very price conscious while maintaining quality, and have experience in managing procurement processes in the personal care industry preferably.


Key Responsibilities:

• Source, evaluate and negotiate prices, contracts, and terms with suppliers for a wide range of materials, including raw materials, packaging materials, marketing collaterals, and gift with purchases.

• Maintain relationships with current suppliers and identify potential new suppliers for all materials required by the brand.

• Manage procurement processes, including purchase orders, supplier selection, and delivery schedules for all materials.

• Ensure that all purchases comply with company policies and procedures.

• Monitor inventory levels and anticipate supply needs to avoid stockouts.

• Work closely with the production team to ensure that all materials are available on time and in the correct quantities.

• Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure that all purchased materials meet the brand's quality standards.

• Analyze market trends, industry developments, and supplier performance to identify potential cost savings and process improvements for all materials.

• Work with the marketing team to identify and procure marketing collaterals and gift with purchases required for the brand's promotions and campaigns.

• Manage the procurement process for all marketing collaterals and gift with purchases, including identifying suppliers, negotiating prices and terms with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery.

• Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure that all marketing collaterals and gift with purchases meet the brand's quality standards and are delivered on time.

• Maintain records of all procurement activities and provide regular reports on supplier performance, inventory levels, and cost savings.


Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.

• At least 6 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the personal care industry.

• Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.

• Highly price conscious while maintaining quality standards.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Knowledge of procurement processes, including purchase orders, supplier selection, and delivery schedules.

• Ability to analyze market trends, industry developments, and supplier performance to identify potential cost savings and process improvements.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other procurement software.

• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.


This position will report to the Senior Manager and work closely with the production, quality control, marketing, and finance teams.
