AI Engineer

Job Description:

We are hiring an AI Engineer to join our cutting-edge team at BotPenguin, where we build smart, conversational, and AI-first solutions. If you're passionate about LLMs, NLP, and building intelligent systems that make a difference, this role is for you!

You will work with large language models (LLMs), build NLP pipelines, deploy ML models, and collaborate across teams to develop AI-powered chatbots and virtual agents that enhance customer experience at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and optimize AI-powered chatbots and virtual agents using LLMs and NLP.
• Design and deploy scalable machine learning models using Docker/Kubernetes or AWS/GCP.
• Integrate LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Claude, LLaMA) and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Work with vector databases like FAISS, Pinecone, or Elastic Vector DB.
• Conduct model performance tuning, prompt testing, and AI debugging.
• Collaborate with Product, Backend, and UI teams to integrate AI solutions.
• Explore research papers and open-source innovations for rapid experimentation.
• Write clean, testable, and well-documented code.
• Guide and review code from junior developers.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, ML, or related fields.
• Experience: 2–5 years in AI/ML or software engineering roles.

Technical Skills:

• Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, Hugging Face Transformers
• NLP: Intent classification, text generation, summarization
• LLMs: OpenAI, Claude, LLaMA
• Vector DBs: Pinecone, FAISS, Elastic Vector DB
• Prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings
• ML deployment with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or GCP
• GitLab/GitHub, Agile development

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Effective communication and cross-team collaboration
• High attention to model performance, accuracy, and scalability

Mandatory Certification:

• While certification is not strictly required, having one or more of the following is a plus:
• TensorFlow Developer Certificate

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Mohali, Punjab: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
