Job Title: Teradata and Informatica Developer Location: [Hyderabad, telangana, Remote/Hybrid] Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Teradata and Informatica Developer to join our growing data analytics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing robust ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) solutions using Informatica PowerCenter and optimizing data warehousing solutions on the Teradata platform. This role requires a strong understanding of data warehousing principles, excellent SQL skills, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality data solutions. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter to extract data from various source systems, transform it according to business rules, and load it into the Teradata data warehouse. Develop, optimize, and tune complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and macros in Teradata to support data warehousing and reporting requirements. Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Perform data profiling, data quality checks, and data validation to ensure accuracy and integrity of data. Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, performance bottlenecks, and ETL job failures. Participate in the entire SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and support. Collaborate with other developers, DBAs, and data architects to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of data solutions. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, ETL mappings, and data flow diagrams. Implement best practices for data governance, data security, and data privacy. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data warehousing, ETL, and database management. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. [4+] years of hands-on experience as a Teradata Developer with strong SQL proficiency. [4+] years of extensive experience with Informatica PowerCenter (versions [9.x, 10.x]) including Designer, Workflow Manager, Workflow Monitor, and Repository Manager. Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, Kimball methodology, and dimensional modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema). Expertise in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views in Teradata. Experience with Teradata utilities such as BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT (Teradata Parallel Transporter), and FastExport. Proven ability to design and implement efficient and scalable ETL solutions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have): Experience with other ETL tools (e.g., DataStage, SSIS) is a plus. Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Shell Scripting, Python) for automation. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and data warehousing in the cloud. Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and reporting concepts. Experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment. Teradata or Informatica certifications are a plus. Work Environment Current work hours are 2.00 PM to 11.00 PM, IST or 7.00 AM to 4.00 PM, IST. Shift change is anticipated depending on US work hours/time zone and business need. Candidate should be willing to work in any shift. A reasonable amount of overtime will be required during peak season. Standard indoor working environment.
