Job Description

Wits Innovation Lab is looking for a WordPress Developer with 3+ years of hands-on experience in building dynamic, responsive, and high-performance websites. The ideal candidate should be well-versed with WordPress customization, plugin development, and modern front-end technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop custom WordPress themes and plugins
Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO
Maintain and update existing WordPress sites
Collaborate with designers and backend developers to deliver user-friendly solutions
Troubleshoot and resolve website issues efficiently
Ensure mobile responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility

Required Skills:

Strong experience with WordPress CMS
Good understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP
Familiarity with MySQL and basic database operations
Experience with page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery)
Ability to handle website migrations and hosting setups

✨ Strong communication and client-handling skills
➕ Secondary skills are a big plus
