Position Overview

As our Web Designer, you’ll craft visually appealing, responsive, and high-performing websites and online stores on both Shopify and WordPress platforms. You’ll work closely with designers, developers, and project managers to turn design mockups into pixel-perfect, user-friendly web experiences Braintrust.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and customize WordPress themes, plugins, and page-builder templates (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery).
• Design, implement, and optimize Shopify stores, including custom theme work with Liquid.
• Convert Figma/Adobe XD mockups into fully functional, responsive sites Twine+6Reddit+6Reddit+6.
• Ensure cross-browser/device compatibility and optimized mobile experiences.
• Implement SEO best practices and performance optimization (speed, Core Web Vitals).
• Integrate third-party apps/plugins and configure site backends.
• Thoroughly test functionality, responsiveness, and usability pre-launch.
• Provide ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and iterative improvements.
• Stay updated with platform trends, tools, and frameworks.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of hands-on experience in WordPress theme/plugin development and Shopify Liquid theming.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git).
• Basic knowledge of SEO, site performance, and analytics tools.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team.
• Attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and time management.
• (Nice-to-have) Experience with Figma, Adobe Suite, Shopify APIs or React/TypeScript app development.
