Your Job As a Systems Administrator in Molex’s Copper Solutions Business Unit, you will be responsible for supporting our software engineering and manufacturing teams, maintaining, upgrading, and improving our critical infrastructure, including our CI/CD pipelines, manufacturing servers, database servers, and other systems that enable efficient operations across the organization. What You Will Do Ensure high availability and reliability of servers supporting manufacturing operations. Perform regular backups, updates, and patches to minimize downtime and security risks. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. 3-5 years of proven experience in systems administration of Linux and Windows servers across CI/CD, manufacturing, and database environments. Proficiency in administering and maintaining RedHat Linux environments and Windows environments. Proficiency in creating and maintaining automation scripts and configurations using tools like Bash, Ansible, and Python Proven ability to manage system updates, patches, and backups to ensure system reliability and security. Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Nagios, Grafana, Datadog, or Splunk Demonstrated expertise in setting up and overseeing user authentication and authorization systems, along with managing system and website certificates. Strong troubleshooting skills to quickly identify and resolve system, server, and database issues. Understanding networking standards and security to navigate firewall and access issues. Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting a wide range of networking protocols, including SSH, FTP, HTTP, HTTPS, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, TCP/IP, and others critical to system administration and network operations. Analytical mindset to proactively monitor system health and find operational efficiencies. Ability to collaborate effectively with the software engineering team to address infrastructure needs. Strong communication skills to clearly document processes and share knowledge with the team. Experience with ticket/issue logging systems such as Jira. Review client investment thesis, company profile and information concerning the business technology environment including but not limited to business applications, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity controls, and privacy related regulatory compliance requirements. Research niche technologies, applicable regulatory obligations and latest technology trends to guide analysis.
