About the Role

The Territory Manager, Sales is responsible for achieving the sales and collection budgets in the assigned territory through planning and aggressive promotion of educational products.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead a target of INR 10 Mn+ and work with around 100 prospect schools.
  • Retain and grow OUP’s existing market share in the region.
  • Aggressively promote educational print and blended resources with schools in the designated territory.
  • Facilitate the best of OUP after-sales support and workshops for user schools, driving usage on post-sales platforms such as Oxford Educate.
  • Know and understand OUP’s product offerings and be skilled in presenting and pitching products to school teachers, coordinators, principals, and management.
  • Manage key accounts and ensure timely collection of payments and support to these distributors.
  • Sell OUP library resources and reading product range to school libraries.
  • Ensure growth in blended and digital product space by conducting and planning product demos for the region and logging these on the portal.
  • Update customer sales and competition data in iTrack on a regular basis.
  • Plan and conduct customer acquisition events and trainings in the region.
  • Develop and execute strategies to strengthen OUP’s brand image in the region.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a relevant industry.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Market and geographical knowledge of the assigned territory.
  • Solution-centric sales skills with exposure to digital.
  • An understanding and appreciation of the school education business is a plus. Open to candidates from other industries who can showcase relevant skills.
