Job Description

Understanding Customer Needs: Technical Sales Engineers need to actively engage with clients to understand their specific technical requirements and how the company's products or services can address those needs. Skills and Qualifications: Technical Knowledge: A strong understanding of the relevant technical field, including the products or services being sold. Communication and Presentation Skills: The ability to clearly and concisely explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to identify and solve technical challenges, offering innovative solutions. Sales Acumen: An understanding of the sales process and the ability to build relationships with clients. Interpersonal Skills: The ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders. Experience: Relevant industry experience, with a focus on technical sales or related roles. Education: A bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field is typically required, with advanced Technical Expertise: They must possess a strong understanding of the company's products, services, and technologies, including their capabilities, limitations, and potential applications. Sales Support: They provide technical support to sales teams, helping them with sales presentations, proposals, and demonstrations. Product Demonstrations: They often conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations to potential and existing clients, showcasing the value of the company's offerings. Collaboration with Engineering: Technical Sales Engineers work closely with engineering teams to ensure that products or services meet customer requirements and that solutions are tailored to individual needs. Problem-Solving: They identify and address technical challenges faced by customers, offering solutions and ensuring successful implementation. Documentation and Reporting: They may be responsible for preparing technical documentation, reports, and proposals, and for tracking the progress of sales efforts. Client Relationship Management: They build and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and providing ongoing technical support. Continuous Improvement: They may also be involved in identifying areas for improvement in products, processes, or sales strategies.
