About Team

Intl Accounts team focuses on building Identity, Profile and Membership Platforms and interfaces which enables customers to login seamlessly and conduct business on eCommerce platforms.

Were looking for highly skilled and experienced Staff Technical Program Manager with a breadth of skills who can create and execute a plan for new strategic initiatives as well as driving the global technology platforms across Global Tech. You should be able to drive high level design, solutioning & delivery of program with our next generation platforms keeping scalability, robustness and security aspects in focus. The platforms we build will be used by customers & sellers across multiple countries with each of them being a multi billion dollar business for Walmart.

What youll do:

Your main responsibilities will revolve around managing large software development programs. You will work closely with architects, engineers, product, design and business leaders to ensure the successful completion of these programs To do this, you will need to have a deep understanding of software architecture and software design principles. You will also need to demonstrate influential skills by building strong relationships with stakeholders across Walmart, ensuring alignment on roles, responsibilities, and programs project cadences. Your role will involve defining goals, stage gates, critical delivery paths, and key deliverables for large-scale programs that incorporate multiple programs with dependencies across multiple areas of work, timelines, and resource constraints. Efficient engineering resource utilization and delivery will be a priority, and you will need to simplify and clarify priorities and create plans with appropriate milestones for advance planning and executive buy-in. You will also establish a resource capacity allocation process and tool to transform the planning process. Your problem-solving and decision-making skills will be crucial in navigating any setbacks or obstacles that may arise. Overall, as a seasoned professional, your expertise and passion for driving technical projects to success will be invaluable in this role at Walmart Global Tech.

Drive quarterly planning efforts, effectively negotiate against priorities, resources, and timelines to secure commitments from partner teams.
Create the environment for effective collaboration across 4ITB by establishing appropriate forums and enabling Ways of Working improvements.
Establish processes that drive efficient planning and execution.
Work with product and engineering in solutioning of new capabilities, driving clarity in product requirements.
Create a detailed program plan with milestones and timelines and maintain program documentation.
Resolve ambiguous situations and bring clarity to the program teams.
Manage program scope, including changes and scope creep ensuring that the program stays aligned with its original scope.
Monitor program progress against the established schedule and provide weekly status reports to the program stakeholders.
Proactively identify potential risks and develop mitigation plan and manage cross-functional issues to unblock program team.
Ensure monitoring and alerting are set up and ensure effective operational excellence frameworks are implemented.
Ensure that the program adheres to the organization s standards, policies, and best practices.

What youll bring:

A bachelor s degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent.
Overall 15 years of technical experience with 8+years of experience as a Technical Program Manager in software delivery within a related industry managing aggressive schedules and significant business impact.
Experienced in system/platform design concepts, architecture, UXdesign, services, APIs, and technologies.
Build positive relationships and collaborate with product managers to understand target personas and business process needs, which you will then translate into features and user stories that engineers will leverage to iterate products quickly.
Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with a love for data and solving complex problems.
Expertise in change & risk management methodologies, projectmanagement tools, techniques, project tracking tools, dashboards, and reports
Strong communicator in both verbal and written forms and are equally adept in communicating upwards, outwards, and downward.
Deep understanding of JIRA, JIRA Align, BigPicture, etc.would be advantageous.

Minimum Qualifications:Option 1: Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related area and 5 years experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area.
