Job Description

Area(s) of responsibility
Core Responsibilities

Design and implement network infrastructure based on organizational requirements.
Install and configure network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls).
Monitor network performance, system availability, and reliability.
Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including hardware and software problems.
Manage IP addressing, VLAN configurations, and WAN connectivity.
Implement and maintain network security measures (firewall rules, intrusion detection).
Minimum 6+ years of hands-on experience in network operations and troubleshooting.
Proven experience in managing Severity 1 incidents involving Palo Alto, ASA firewalls, and Cisco ISE.
Experience with Cisco FTD, FMC, and transformation projects (e.g., ASA to Palo Alto).

Technical Skills

Strong understanding of routing and switching protocols (RIP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
Familiarity with cloud networking concepts (Azure ExpressRoute, AWS Direct Connect).
Hands-on experience with VPN technologies (IPsec, GlobalProtect, Cisco AnyConnect).
Knowledge of ACLs, NAT, traffic shaping, and L3 VPN configurations.
Ability to monitor and correlate application-layer and network-layer metrics.Ability to work in 24x7 support environments and participate in on-call rotations.
