solar technical engineer

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Solar Engineer to design, develop, and manage solar energy systems for residential, commercial, or industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and/or mechanical engineering with hands-on experience in solar PV systems, including feasibility analysis, system design, and performance evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, including site assessments, layouts, and energy production modeling.
• Conduct technical and financial feasibility studies for solar energy projects.
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and construction teams during the design and implementation phases.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and national codes, regulations, and standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE, IEC).
• Supervise or support installation, commissioning, and testing of solar systems.
• Monitor and analyze performance of existing solar systems and recommend improvements.
• Provide technical support to sales, procurement, and project management teams.
• Stay current with advancements in solar technology, materials, and energy storage systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in solar PV design and engineering (entry-level roles may require less).
• Knowledge of electrical systems, inverters, batteries, and BOS (Balance of System) components.
• Familiarity with permitting processes, utility interconnection, and grid-tied/off-grid systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Working Conditions:

• Office-based and on-site work as required.
• Travel to project sites for inspection, assessment, and commissioning.
• May involve working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,500.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
