General Overview / Purpose of Job

As a Video Editor/Motion Designer at Pattern, you will be an integral part of our creative team, working remotely to craft engaging visual content that communicates our brand's story effectively. Your expertise in video editing, motion graphics, and design will be essential inelevating our video content to new heights, fostering engagement and connection with our global audience.We are looking for an experienced Senior Motion Designer with a strong background in video editing to contribute to our creativeprojects. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled individual with a passion for visual storytelling, motion graphics, and video production. As a Senior Motion Designer, we're looking for self-starters who want to bring their insights and talents to the table. As youcollaborate closely with our video team, and art directors to create compelling content that resonates with our audience.

Core Responsibilities / Job Duties

• Create visually stunning motion graphics and animations for diverse video projects.
• Collaborate with the video team to align content with company branding and objectives.
• Edit raw footage into polished, impactful videos following brand guidelines.
• Produce high-quality videos for multiple platforms and channels.
• Use After Effects to craft motion graphics, visual effects, and animations.
• Brainstorm and develop concepts with the creative team.
• Innovate visual aesthetics and motion approaches with team leads.
• Stay updated on trends in motion design, video editing, and visual effects.
• Ensure consistency and quality across all team-produced video content.
• Mentor and guide junior creative team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a creative field preferred. (Bachelor's is mandatory)
• 5+ years as a Motion Designer/Video Editor with a strong portfolio.
• Proficient in After Effects and video editing software.
• Solid grasp of design principles, typography, color theory, and composition.
• Excellent communicator and team collaborator.
• Detail-oriented with a knack for meeting tight deadlines.
• Creative problem solver with innovative thinking.
• Experienced in fast-paced environments and managing multiple projects.

Requirements

• Experienced Video Editor/Motion Designer with a strong portfolio in

  editing, motion graphics, and design.

• Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and other industry-standard tools.
• Skilled in visual storytelling, pacing, composition, and typography.
• Creative and detail-oriented, producing content that resonates with a global audience.
• Excellent communication skills, effective in collaborating with remote and diverse teams.
• Self-motivated and proactive, capable of managing work independently and meeting project deadlines.
• Adaptable to different time zones and flexible work hours.
• Degree or 5+ years of experience in Film Production, Design, or Multimedia Arts preferred.
