Senior Backend Engineer

What You'll Do

• Design and implement high-performance backend systems capable of handling

  billions of data points daily

• Work closely with researchers and ML engineers to

  productionize large-scale PyTorch models

• Develop

  low-latency, GPU-accelerated pipelines

  using

  Rust

  ,

  CUDA

  , and

  C++

• Build and maintain

  distributed computing systems

  for training and inference
• Profile, optimize, and debug code running on heterogeneous hardware (CPUs, GPUs)
• Take ownership of critical infrastructure that powers our AI systems
• Collaborate on system architecture to ensure

  scalability, robustness, and observability

• Languages:

  Rust, C++, Python

• ML Frameworks:

  PyTorch, CUDA

• Infrastructure:

  Kubernetes, gRPC, Kafka, Redis, AWS/GCP

• Tools:

  Prometheus, Grafana, Docker, Bazel, GitHub Actions

• Have

  5+ years of backend engineering

  experience (systems, infrastructure, distributed computing)
• Have shipped or maintained

  high-throughput systems

  (millions+ RPS or equivalent)
• Are

  proficient in Rust

  or similar systems-level languages (C++, Go, etc.)
• Have hands-on experience with

  CUDA

  ,

  GPU kernels

  , or

  ML inference acceleration

• Are familiar with

  PyTorch

  internals or have worked closely with ML researchers
• Think deeply about performance, security, and system architecture
• Are motivated by the idea of contributing to

  Superintelligence development
