About the Role:

Achieve Business Unit Objectives by planning thoroughly, setting sales goals, analyzing performance data, and making forecasts . Develop skills continuously for hiring, training, and leading Channel Partners , and ensure that they're using effective sales tactics to meet revenue objectives . Generate leads, and establish and nurture client relationships. Develop a strong relationship with the Fire Departments of the States of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka, understand their pain points and requirements, and identify key products from the IDEX Fire and Safety Portfolio to solve customer problems with an 80/20 mindset.

Key responsibilities:


  1. Meets or exceeds order booking & sales revenue plan as established through the AOP process
  2. Routine follow up with all customers in South India to develop relationships and generate business for complete range of F&S products
  3. Understand and evaluate the opportunities in the assigned territory for our products
  4. Manage existing distributors, OEMs and other key accounts in the territory, with a focus to develop new accounts and opportunities
  5. Work on appointing new distributors wherever needed, with a clear focus on untapped market
  6. Work closely with other F&S team members to establish product specifications in Fire and Rescue vehicles
  7. Take the lead in pre-qualifying the various manufacturing brands and products within the Fire & Safety segment
  8. Provide inputs for actionable growth strategies based on opportunities identified
  9. Develop a strong understanding of the technical processes and applications that utilize our products. Utilize this knowledge to support current and future sales channels and end users.
  10. Develop and implement strategies for the displacement of competition within targeted key accounts
  11. Provide the company with new product and service ideas, market trends, sales growth strategies, and competitive intelligence
  12. Support the team in meeting all related objectives of Sales - Deliveries, Accounts Receivables etc
  13. Providing timely reports to management & Maintain Sales Funnel


Who are we looking for?


Qualifications:

  • Engineering Graduate - Mechanical / Electrical / Fire preferred
  • 6+ Years experience in Sales & Marketing of Fire and/or Rescue products to OEMs, Brigades, and to various Industries

    The ability to anticipate future consequences and trends accurately. Has broad knowledge and perspective. Can create breakthrough strategies and plans. Proactively implements countermeasures to address missed objectives.
