PURCHASE MANAGER ( CONSTRUCTION )

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchase Manager to lead and manage the procurement of construction materials, plant & machinery, and service contracts related to RCC and MIVAN projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering / B.Com / Supply Chain / Relevant Field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in purchase management in a RCC Contractor or Construction Company.
• Proven working knowledge of MIVAN system materials (Aluminium shuttering, Props, Wall ties, etc.).
• Well-versed with vendor networks in Maharashtra, especially Pune-Mumbai belt.
• Strong negotiation, documentation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and email-based procurement workflow.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and execute the procurement of construction materials (cement, steel, aluminium formwork, shuttering, MEP items, consumables).
• Ensure timely material availability at sites as per BOQ and site schedule.
• Identify, negotiate, and finalize vendors/suppliers across Maharashtra, focusing on cost efficiency and quality.
• Evaluate and approve purchase requisitions (MRs) from site engineers and PMs.
• Maintain and manage vendor database, rate comparisons, and procurement trackers.
• Handle subcontract material settlements and service agreements related to RCC and MIVAN works.
• Coordinate with store, accounts, site teams, and HO for seamless supply chain flow.
• Monitor and maintain inventory control to reduce wastage and delays.
• Ensure compliance with GST and billing norms in all purchases.

Preferred

• Candidates currently or previously working with formwork contractors, high-rise contractors, or turnkey structure specialists.
• Marathi/Hindi speaking candidates preferred for vendor coordination.
