Procurement Officer

Handle the communication with vessel and vendor for a small segment of vessels. Keep a track of vessels itinerary and effectively plan supplies at economical ports. Coordinate with vendors and obtain quotes, negotiate for best of prices and follow up for supplies. Maintain relevant data base.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Effective communication with vessels & processing provision requirement in stipulated time

Effective communication with the agents for the additional cost & coordination of supply arrangements. Daily order tracking.

Ensure all the orders are processed through respective software & vendors should be provided minimum 48 hours of working time for supply of provisions.

Follow ups with vendors for the RFQ & confirmations of orders. Negotiate with the vendor for the best prices & ensure quality supplies on board. Accurate cost comparison of all the purchase orders.

Updating DAS and vessel trading pattern on daily basis.

Maintain the records of communications pertaining to particular PO. Ensure all complains raised by the vessel are addressed to the vendor & resolve the same.

Ensure timely scanning of invoices received from the vendor. Addressing various invoice related queries raised by scanning team.

Knowledge & Experience

Education: Graduation/ Hotel Management Graduate

Experience: 2-3 years from shore based catering management or from purchase background.

Specific Business Knowledge: Effective communication, negotiation skills, excel efficient.
