Management of Teachers â
· Plan the yearâs academic work in advance in consultation with the Line Manager and hold regular meetings with the teachers
· To ensure the teachers are trained and are using the Schools ERP tools and methodology
· To continuously help and guide teachers to promote their professional growth and actively encourage their participation in courses designed for education and to design the Training and Development programme for teachers
· Supervise classroom teaching and share constructive feedback with the teachers
· Secure cooperation and coordination amongst teachers of the same subject areas as well as inter subject coordination
· Be responsible for sending teachers for the evaluation of answer scripts in respect of Boardâs Examinations and other duties related to the academics, training and conduct of examinations as per requirements of Board from time to time
Curriculum & Student Development â
· Handle official correspondence relating to the school and furnish information required by the State Government / Board
· Ensure there is an sustainable increase in the performance and grades of the students
· Arrange for special remedial teaching of the children whenever needed
· Arrange for informal and non-class room teaching
· Devote at least one period per day to teaching the students
· Plan and specify a regular timetable for studentsâ written work and home assignment and ensure the assessment and corrections are carried our timely and effectively
· Organize and coordinate various co-curricular activities for students
· To ensure that the progress reports of the students are sent on time to their parents / guardians
· Promote the physical well-being of the students and ensure high standards of cleanliness and health habits and arrange periodical medical examinations of the students and send medical reports to parents or guardians
· The Principal shall not refuse any duty assigned by the Board in connection with the conduct of examinations, evaluation of answer scripts, result processing and other ancillary activities. The Principal shall act as a Centre Superintendent whenever and wherever appointed by the Board and shall not delegate his authority, duties and responsibilities to any other person under any circumstances.
Administrative Role â
· To carry out all academic and administrative duties required as the Principal of the School
· To be the Secretary of the School Management Committee
· To ensure that all provisions of the Affiliation and Examination Byelaws and all directions given by the curriculum board are strictly compiled with from time to time
· Make satisfactory arrangements for the supply of good drinking water, its fixtures and furniture, office equipment, lavatories, play grounds, school garden and other properties accessed by the students and teachers are properly maintained
· Ensure that the library has required resources and students and teachers have access to them
· Supervise the School Laboratories
· Support the admissions team and ensure the School has a good in-take of new students and also there is good retention rate of existing students
· Be responsible for proper maintenance of academic related accounts, records, service books of teachers and such other registers
To Support with the responsibilities as advised by the Management as and when required
