Plant Head – Wai

Main Responsibilities:

1. Production & Quality

• Ensure production targets are met with

  consistent quality and delivery timelines

  .
• Monitor quality parameters and reduce rework/rejection rates.
• Drive

  continuous improvement

  initiatives in quality and productivity.

2. Maintenance

• Implement and track

  preventive and predictive maintenance

  schedules.
• Minimize downtime and ensure machine availability for smooth operations.

Sub-Tasks / Supporting Responsibilities:

3. Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate

  inventory control

  of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Coordinate with store and dispatch teams to avoid material shortages or overstocking.
• Ensure FIFO practices and minimize material wastage.

4. Team & Manpower Management

• Supervise and motivate

  operator and supervisor-level staff

  for high performance.
• Plan and manage

  shift schedules

  to meet production goals.
• Monitor workforce discipline, safety practices, and adherence to SOPs.

5. Planning & Coordination

• Collaborate with PPC, QA, and maintenance teams for integrated plant functioning.
• Maintain transparent communication with senior management regarding plant KPIs.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in

  Mechanical Engineering

  (Master’s preferred).

• 12–15 years

  of experience in

  automotive manufacturing

  , preferably in

  drivetrain systems

  .
• Proven experience in managing full-scale plant operations with responsibility for output, quality, and people.
• Familiar with

  IATF 16949

  , lean manufacturing, ERP systems, and industrial safety norms.
