Plant Head – Rubber Product Manufacturing

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Plant Head - Rubber Product Manufacturer to join our T R Rubber Private Limited team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the manufacturing of rubber products, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to safety protocols. This role requires attention to detail, technical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Engineering / Management
• Preferred specializations: Mechanical, Production, Rubber Technology, Marketing
• Willingness to learn new processes and techniques related to rubber manufacturing.
• Familiarity with safety protocols in a manufacturing setting is an advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 15–20 years in rubber product manufacturing
• Prior experience in Railway/RDSO-approved vendor environment is highly preferred
• Strong exposure to Railway components like LHB, Vande Bharat, Spheriblocs, axle box bushes, bump stops, sandwich mounts

Duties

Plant Operations & Leadership

• Full responsibility for production, quality, maintenance, and manpower management
• Drive adherence to QAPs, safety norms, and productivity benchmarks
• Supervise moulding, bonding, curing, trimming, and testing processes daily

KPI Monitoring & Optimization

• Track and analyze production KPIs: output, rejections, deliveries, OEE, MTBF
• Implement lean practices to reduce cycle times, rework, and waste
• Maximize utilization of machines like hydraulic presses and injection moulding equipment

Quality, Standards & Documentation

• Ensure RDSO/QAP compliance across all manufacturing stages
• Oversee QA/QC activities, address customer complaints, conduct failure analysis & CAPA
• Maintain and calibrate equipment: UTM, Hardness Tester, Aging Oven, etc.

Team Management & Audits

• Mentor functional heads (Production, QA, Maintenance, PPC, Stores, Purchase)
• Lead third-party inspections (RDSO, RITES, DLW, CLW, ICF, RCF, MCF)
• Foster a safety-driven and accountable work culture; organize training programs

Production Planning & Dispatch

• Coordinate with PPC to finalize monthly/weekly production based on customer schedules
• Ensure timely dispatch of trial and bulk orders to railway depots/factories

Technical Oversight & Innovation

• Guide NPD and technical teams on product trials and process stabilization
• Monitor bonding processes: blasting, primer/adhesive application, curing
• Validate curing parameters, bonding strength, and rubber performance against drawings
• Inspect finished products for defects and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Maintain accurate production records and logs.
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment.

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Rubber compounding and rubber-to-metal bonding expertise
• Strong command of RDSO specifications and Indian Railway standards (CLW, ICF, RCF)
• Hands-on experience with rubber injection/compression moulding, primers, blasting
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, IRIS, IATF 16949 standards
• Strategic mindset with strong leadership and analytical skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹55,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
