Job Description

Responsibilities: 1. Industry Relations: - Foster and maintain strong relationships with potential employers and industry professionals to identify placement opportunities for our graduates. - Conduct regular meetings and negotiations with these companies to discuss job openings and hiring requirements. - Stay updated with industry trends, job market demands, and employer expectations, collaborating with the curriculum department to tailor training programs accordingly. 2. Job Placement: - Assess the skills and qualifications of our students to match them with suitable job opportunities. - Organize and oversee the placement process, including resume building, interview preparation, and mock interviews. - Introduce and recommend students for available job vacancies, internships, and apprenticeships. - Provide necessary documentation and support to ensure smooth onboarding and transitioning of selected candidates into the workforce. 3. Networking and Outreach: - Attend job fairs, industry conferences, and networking events to promote Frankfinn and actively engage with potential employers. - Identify new avenues for job placements and maintain a database of prospective employers. - Collaborate with marketing and communication teams to enhance the institute's visibility and brand recognition among employers. 4. Student Support and Guidance: - Offer personalized career counseling and guidance to students to understand their interests, career goals, and job preferences. - Arrange and conduct workshops and seminars on topics such as job search strategies, interview etiquette, and professional networking. - Assist students in identifying skill gaps or additional training needs and provide suitable recommendations. 5. Data Management and Reporting: - Maintain an accurate and up-to-date database of student profiles, employers, job openings, and placement outcomes. - Prepare regular reports on the placement activities, including success rates, industry analysis, and feedback from employers and students. - Utilize data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance the placement process. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education. - Prior experience in recruitment, placement coordination, or career counseling is highly desirable. - Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with employers, students, and industry professionals. - Ability to work independently, coordinate multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - Familiarity with the aviation, hospitality, and travel industries is a plus. - Understanding of job market dynamics, industry expectations, and emerging trends. - Ethical and confidential approach to handling student and employer information. Roles and Responsibilities 1. Building Partnerships: One of the primary responsibilities of a Placement Coordinator is establishing and nurturing relationships with businesses, industries, and organizations. This involves researching and identifying potential employers who may offer suitable placement opportunities for students. The coordinator must network, attend job fairs, and arrange meetings to persuade organizations to host student placements. 2. Gathering and Assessing Student Information: Placement Coordinators are responsible for collecting relevant information about students, such as their skills, interests, and career goals. This information helps in aligning students with appropriate placement opportunities, ensuring a mutually beneficial experience. The coordinator may conduct individual interviews, career counseling sessions, and review resumes to understand students' capabilities and interests. 3. Matching Students and Placements: Once the Placement Coordinator has acquired both student and employer information, their role involves matching the right students with the right organizations. This requires a comprehensive understanding of both parties' expectations, including the skills required by the employer and the goals of the student. The coordinator must carefully evaluate each student and placement opportunity to ensure compatibility and enhance the chance of a successful placement. 4. Facilitating Placement Processes: Placement Coordinators are responsible for managing the administrative tasks associated with student placements. This includes drafting placement agreements, arranging interviews, and coordinating communication between the student, employer, and academic institution. They also ensure that necessary paperwork, such as liability forms or confidentiality agreements, are completed accurately and in a timely manner. 5. Monitoring and Evaluating Placements: A Placement Coordinator stays engaged throughout the placement process to monitor students' progress and satisfaction, as well as employer satisfaction. Regular check-ins with both parties provide an opportunity to address any challenges or concerns that may arise during the placement. Coordinators may assess students' performance via progress reports and evaluations from employers, offering support and guidance where necessary. 6. Providing Support and Guidance: Apart from administrative tasks, Placement Coordinators are responsible for providing ongoing support to students and employers during the placement period. They offer assistance in resolving conflicts, provide guidance regarding workplace etiquette and professional conduct, and act as a resource for any inquiries or challenges that arise throughout the placement. Coordinators must ensure students are effectively integrated into the organization and foster an environment conducive to a positive placement experience.
