Job Description

Job Purpose:

To provide specialized pediatric physiotherapy services to children with developmental, neuromotor, orthopedic, and sensory-motor challenges. The therapist will assess, plan, and implement individualized therapy plans that promote physical function, mobility, coordination, and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Clinical Assessment & Diagnosis:

  • Conduct detailed assessments of children’s gross motor, postural, musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and functional abilities.
  • Diagnose conditions including cerebral palsy, developmental delay, muscular dystrophy, hypotonia, torticollis, orthopedic issues, and others.
  • Use standardized assessment tools and maintain clear documentation.

2. Therapy Planning & Implementation:

  • Develop individualized, goal-based treatment plans tailored to each child’s needs.
  • Deliver hands-on physiotherapy sessions to improve mobility, balance, coordination, strength, and posture.
  • Use techniques such as neurodevelopmental treatment (NDT), sensory-motor integration, kinesiotaping, gait training, and therapeutic exercises.

3. Collaboration & Communication:

  • Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Special Educators, and Behaviour Therapists for integrated care.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/caregivers on home programs and progress.
  • Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and goal reviews.

4. Documentation & Progress Tracking:

  • Maintain accurate and timely therapy notes, reports, and parent communication logs.
  • Track progress using measurable short- and long-term goals.
  • Provide documentation for school or medical reports when required.

5. Parent Training & Education:

  • Educate parents on home-based activities and positioning techniques.
  • Demonstrate safe handling techniques and routines to follow at home.

6. Professional Development:

  • Participate in internal training programs and workshops conducted at Rising Sun.
  • Keep updated with current pediatric physiotherapy practices, innovations, and research.
  • Uphold ethical and professional standards at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy (BPT/MPT), preferably with specialization in Pediatrics or Neurology.
  • Registration with a recognized Physiotherapy Council.

Experience:

  • Minimum 1–2 years of pediatric clinical experience preferred (freshers with pediatric internships will be considered).

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of child development and pediatric physiotherapy techniques.
  • Ability to engage effectively with children with special needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate, patient, and child-centered approach.

Job Types: Full-time, Fresher

Pay: From ₹28,000.00 per month

Schedule:
