Job Description

Responsible for maintaining and optimizing the company's LAN/WAN infrastructure across Mumbai offices, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure, install, and maintain network hardware and software (routers, switches, firewalls - Cisco, Juniper etc.)
  • Monitor network performance; proactively troubleshoot connectivity, bandwidth, and latency issues
  • Implement and enforce security protocols (VPN, IDS/IPS, patching) to protect network integrity
  • Manage IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, MPLS, and perform routine upgrades
  • Create network documentation (diagrams, configuration, SOPs) and prepare L1/L2 incident reports
  • Coordinate with vendors, ISPs, and manage SLAs for hardware, software, and bandwidth
  • Provide technical support/training to end-users and IT team on network usage and policies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent
  • 2-5 years experience in network administration (or higher for senior roles)
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing (OSPF, BGP), switching (VLAN, STP), and VPN technologies
  • Hands-on experience with firewalls (Fortinet, Sophos, Cisco ASA) and network monitoring tools
  • Certifications like CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or similar are a plus
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and vendor-management skills
