Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching music and a strong ability to engage young learners. The Music Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing music education programs for elementary and primary students, fostering a love for music, and encouraging artistic expression.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging music lessons tailored to the developmental needs of elementary and primary students.
• Introduce students to various musical concepts, including rhythm, melody, harmony, and music theory.
• Facilitate individual and group music activities, including singing, instrumental performance, and composition.
• Organize and conduct school music performances, concerts, and events.
• Create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes creativity and confidence.
• Assess and track student progress, providing feedback and support to help students achieve their musical goals.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate music into the broader curriculum and school activities.
• Manage classroom resources and equipment effectively and ensure a safe learning environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Relevant teaching certification or licensure for elementary and primary education.
• Proven experience teaching music to young students, preferably in an elementary or primary school setting.
• Strong proficiency in various musical instruments and vocal techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
• Ability to design and implement creative and age-appropriate music curriculum.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with music technology and digital tools for music education.
• Knowledge of diverse musical genres and cultures.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
