Purpose of the role:

The Senior Merchandise Buyer leads in B&M function with strong influence across teams. Responsible for in-season analysis and strategic financial planning, the role drives merchandise buying, sourcing, and product development. This position collaborates with Design, Merch Planning, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to establish and optimize the B&M function at PALMONAS.

Detailed Responsibility:

- Communicate and justify forecast assumptions to internal partners and external suppliers.

- Recommends catalogue SKU selection, new merchandise programs, sales trends, and assortments which lead to sales growth and overall productivity in their area.

- Liaison with design & marketing manager on marketing efforts, product knowledge, product selection, merchandising.

- Creating more than 500 option GTM/CTM every month along with regular seasonal Buying.

- Provides appropriate feedback and coaching to assigned associates in order process order.

- Responsible to drive cost savings and improved efficiencies, quality, and specifications through regular supplier / internal reviews.

- Liaison with marketing manager on marketing efforts, product selection, merchandising.

- Evaluating market trends and price of goods and supplies in the market

- Networking and negotiating with suppliers for competitive prices

- Making and filling all documentations like purchase orders and onboarding new vendor aligned with Brand Values.

- Preparing reports and analysis for reorders.

- Assisting in making budgets and plans for the future purchase of products.

- Keeping a record of all orders.

- Travel required based upon business needs.

Experience:

• Mandatory: 7 - 9 Years
