Job Description

As a software developer at Nutanix, you will be part of the Insights Team, focused on providing predictive health and support automation for Nutanix customers. Your role will involve developing a software framework to manage the lifecycle of distributed software systems, including operating systems, hypervisors, and firmware. You will be responsible for ensuring that the code is extendable for a massively distributed infrastructure with millions of entities. Having an understanding of micro-services architecture and container technologies like docker and Kubernetes will be advantageous. Familiarity with hypervisors such as ESXi or KVM is also a plus. You will collaborate with other teams across the system software stack, effectively communicating your technical views and design. You are expected to have excellent coding skills in Python or Golang, as well as the ability to solve broad problems that span multiple teams. Translating required documents into code, working in a fast-paced agile environment, and possessing critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential for this role. A BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with at least 7 years of experience, is required. Additionally, understanding standard data structures and algorithms will be beneficial. This role operates in a hybrid capacity, combining remote work with in-person collaboration. While most roles may require coming into the office at least 3 days per week, specific guidance will be provided by your manager based on team requirements.
