Job Title: Medical Officer
Department: Health Services / Clinical Operations
Reports To: Chief Medical Officer / Medical Superintendent
Role Purpose: To provide primary and emergency medical care to patients, ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment, maintain high clinical standards, and contribute to overall health and wellness initiatives in accordance with medical ethics and organizational protocols.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver primary healthcare and emergency medical treatment to patients across all age groups.
Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and medical conditions.
Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, histories, prescriptions, and follow-up notes.
Conduct routine health check-ups, screening camps, and preventive care sessions.
Supervise, mentor, and coordinate with nursing, paramedical, and support staff to ensure seamless patient care.
Participate actively in public health programs, awareness drives, and medical outreach activities.
Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, infection control practices, and ethical medical conduct.
Coordinate with specialists and other healthcare professionals for referrals and multi-disciplinary care.
Monitor and manage medical inventory, equipment, hygiene, and sanitation standards in the clinic/hospital.
Qualifications & Competencies: MBBS from a recognized institution (Postgraduate degree in General Medicine/Family Medicine is a plus).
Valid registration with Medical Council of India/State Medical Council.
Minimum [X] years of clinical experience in a hospital/clinic setting.
Proficiency in clinical diagnosis, patient communication, and emergency care.
Strong leadership and organizational skills to supervise junior medical staff.
Basic computer literacy and familiarity with EMR/EHR systems.
Commitment to medical ethics, patient confidentiality, and continuous learning.
Preferred Skills: Experience in public health initiatives or community healthcare services.
Training in Basic Life Support (BLS)/Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is desirable.
Good interpersonal and communication skills in [Language] and English.
Work Conditions: Willingness to work in shifts, weekends, and emergencies if required.
Ability to handle high patient volumes and work in fast-paced clinical environments.
