Mechanical Design Engineer

About the Role:

We’re looking for a skilled Hydraulic Cylinder Designer to develop robust, high-performance cylinder designs for various industrial applications. The role involves 3D modeling, technical calculations, and preparing detailed manufacturing drawings. You’ll work closely with production, purchase, and quality teams to ensure design feasibility and accuracy.

• Key Responsibilities:

1.Design and develop hydraulic cylinders (double-acting, single-acting, telescopic, etc.) as per customer specifications and industry standards.

2.Create 3D models and detailed 2D drawings using SolidWorks or similar CAD tools.

3.Perform calculations for pressure rating, force, stroke length, and material selection.

4.Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM), assembly drawings, and design documentation.

5.Ensure compatibility of design with manufacturing processes such as welding, machining, and honing.

6.Collaborate with internal departments (Production, Purchase, Quality, Sales) for feasibility and cost-effective design implementation.

7.Support in prototype development, testing, and validation of new designs.

8.Keep up to date with seal technology, hydraulic standards, and application-specific requirements.

• Qualifications and Skills:

❖Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

❖Experience: Minimum 2 years in hydraulic cylinder or similar mechanical component design

❖Software Skills: Proficiency in SolidWorks / AutoCAD / other 3D CAD platforms

❖Other Skills:

•Strong understanding of hydraulic systems and design principles

•Basic knowledge of materials and tolerance stack-up

•Good analytical and communication skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
