Mechanical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:Prepare and develop detailed 2D/3D mechanical design drawings using AutoCAD (and optionally SolidWorks, Inventor, etc.). Design mechanical systems, assemblies, brackets, and structural components as per project/client requirements. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and standards (e.g., IS, BS, ISO, EN standards). Create detailed fabrication drawings, BOMs, and support documentation for manufacturing. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (fabrication, site, procurement, and project engineers). Conduct basic engineering calculations (load, stress, material selection) under guidance. Participate in design reviews and incorporate revisions as per feedback. Maintain design records, change logs, and drawing databases as per company documentation standards. Required Skills and Qualifications:Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in AutoCAD mechanical drafting. Knowledge of mechanical fabrication, sheet metal design, and manufacturing processes. Familiarity with engineering standards and GD&T. Basic knowledge of material properties (MS, SS, Aluminum). Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently under deadlines. Good communication and teamwork skills.
