Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Network System Programmer / Administrator to join our infrastructure support team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and performance of z/OS mainframe networking components and related systems. You will play a key role in ensuring system stability, high availability, and performance while also assisting with disaster recovery planning and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

Install, upgrade, and customize VTAM, TCP/IP, and other mainframe communication server components.
Administer and maintain z/OS network-related products and features using SMP/E, REXX, and Assembler.
Proactively monitor network performance and address connectivity issues.
Enhance network monitoring and drive automation improvements.
Maintain and test Disaster Recovery (DR) configurations from a network perspective.
Troubleshoot JES2, HCD, WLM, and other networking-related components.
Collaborate with technical teams and clients to resolve incidents and develop robust network plans.
Document configurations, procedures, and system changes thoroughly.
Contribute technical recommendations for service enhancements and stability improvements.

Required Skills

Strong expertise in Mainframe Network Administration (VTAM, TCP/IP, JES2, HCD, WLM).
Solid experience with z/OS System Programming and SMP/E.
Scripting and automation knowledge in REXX, Assembler, and JCL.
Proven ability in troubleshooting mainframe network connectivity and performance issues.
Exposure to broader z/OS components and ecosystem is highly desirable.
