Job Description

Role & responsibilities

1. HR Strategy & Leadership

Partner with plant leadership and production heads to understand workforce needs and align HR efforts accordingly.

2. Workforce Planning & Recruitment

Streamline hiring, onboarding, and retention strategies for shop floor and technical roles.

3. Industrial Relations & Compliance

Manage union relations and ensure proactive communication with labor representatives.
Lead negotiations, grievance handling, and long-term settlements.
Ensure 100% compliance with labor laws, ESI, PF, Factories Act, and statutory requirements.
Liaise with government authorities and auditors during inspections.

4. Learning & Development

Identify skill gaps and initiate training for machine operators, forge shop workers, and maintenance staff.

5. Performance Management

Define KPIs/KRAs for key roles to align individual performance with production and quality goals.

6. Culture & Engagement

Drive initiatives that foster employee engagement, recognition, and retention.
Organize welfare activities, health check-ups, and communication forums for workers.

Qualifications & Experience:

MBA / PGD in HR or Industrial Relations from a recognized institute.
13 -15+ years of HR experience in heavy engineering, manufacturing, forging, or automotive components industries.
In-depth understanding of labor laws, union management, and compliance in factory setups.
Experience handling multi-union environments.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
