Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform configuration and troubleshooting of network devices including VLAN, STP, VTP, EtherChannel
  • Monitor network performance and respond promptly to alerts and incidents using network monitoring and ticketing tools
  • Troubleshoot LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and GPON network (OLT and ONT) issues
  • Assist in network device configuration under supervision and escalate unresolved issues to senior teams or vendors
  • Document incidents, troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Manage RMA processes for hardware issues diagnosed during support
  • Participate in network design discussions and capacity planning activities
  • Travel to customer sites as required to resolve support requests

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with switching protocols: VLAN, STP, VTP, EtherChannel
  • Strong understanding of routing protocols, IP addressing, and subnetting
  • Experience with GPON network devices including basic configuration and troubleshooting of OLT and ONT
  • Good knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT
  • Familiarity with network security concepts such as ACLs, VPNs, and firewalls
  • Proficient with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems
  • Experience with packet analyzers like Wireshark is a plus
  • Ability to work in rotational shifts (NOC role)
