Graphic Designer - Contractual

Key Responsibilities: * Collaborate with editors, authors, and illustrators to design engaging and age-appropriate children’s books. * Create layouts, typography, and page compositions that are both educational and entertaining. * Adapt illustrations and text into cohesive book spreads and marketing materials. * Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, adhering to brand and publishing guidelines. * Prepare final files for print production and digital formats. * Provide creative input for book covers, character development, and storytelling visuals. * Ensure consistency and high-quality design across all projects. * Stay updated on trends in children’s publishing and design. Required Skills & Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field. * 2+ years of experience in graphic design, preferably in publishing or children’s content. * Strong portfolio showcasing book design and illustration work (especially for children). * Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator). * Understanding of print production processes and color management. * Attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to think visually. * Excellent communication and time management skills. * Experience working with authors, illustrators, or publishing teams is a plus.
