Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Greeting and Directing: Welcoming patients and visitors, directing them to appropriate departments or individuals, and providing general information about the hospital.  Appointment Management: Scheduling, confirming, and canceling patient appointments using the hospital's scheduling system.  Phone Management: Answering incoming phone calls, transferring calls to the appropriate personnel, and taking messages accurately.  Patient Record Maintenance: Updating patient information, verifying insurance details, and maintaining confidentiality of patient records.  Financial Transactions: Collecting co-pays, processing payments, and handling billing inquiries.  Administrative Support: Assisting with various administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and preparing documents.  Maintaining Reception Area: Ensuring the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming for patients and visitors.  Skills and Qualifications: Excellent Communication Skills: Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.  Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain organized records.  Customer Service Orientation: A friendly and helpful demeanor with a focus on providing excellent patient care.  Computer Literacy: Proficiency in using computer systems, medical office software, and other relevant technology.  Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to address patient inquiries and resolve issues effectively.  Confidentiality: Maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of patient information.
