Supervises the administration of and ensures the academic quality of Study Exchange programmes and other special programs, facilities, centres, or institutes assigned to the school. Supervises the operation of labs and computer facilities in the school. Responsible for Human Resource Management of School Faculty and staff. Develops long-range staffing, enrollment, and market projections; recommends the appointment of appropriately qualified faculty and staff; renders timely, professional judgment on periodic evaluations, reappointments, tenure and promotion. Responsible for all fiscal matters at School level. Plans for, requests, and disburses operational, travel, and other funds legally, responsibly, and fairly within given budget limitations. Participates in University-wide strategic planning activities, as related to academic matters. Collaborates with Student Affairs, Institutional Advancement, and Administration and Finance Divisions and their various offices for School-alignment with all-University goals and activities. The Dean will act as Facilitator and a catalyst for external resource generation by the Faculty of the school through contact of MDP/FDP, funded Projects and Consultancy.
