We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backup Storage Engineer with deep expertise in Veritas NetBackup and NetApp storage solutions (3132 Q-V, 224C, AFF A300, FA58040) The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing backup and storage infrastructure, ensuring data protection, high availability, and disaster recovery across enterprise environments Key Responsibilities:1 Storage Infrastructure Management:Design, deploy, and manage NetApp storage solutions (3132 Q-V, 224C, AFF A300, FA58040) Configure and optimize NetApp ONTAP for performance, reliability, and scalability Manage SAN and NAS storage environments across hybrid cloud and on-premises systems Implement and support storage replication, snapshots, and deduplication strategies Exposure to MS Azure cloud and cloud storage with Linux ( Red Hat) OS Experitise Added exposure with MS SQL exposure is added advantage 2 Backup Disaster Recovery:Deploy, configure, and maintain Veritas NetBackup for enterprise backup solutions Ensure efficient data protection strategies, including backup scheduling, retention policies, and recovery testing Implement disaster recovery (DR) plans, ensuring RTO and RPO objectives are met Monitor backup performance and troubleshooting failures across multiple environments 3 Performance Monitoring Troubleshooting:Perform storage performance tuning and capacity planning Proactively monitor NetApp storage arrays for hardware health, disk utilization, and performance metrics Troubleshoot and resolve complex SAN, NAS, and backup issues using advanced diagnostic tools Perform regular firmware and patch upgrades on NetApp and Veritas platforms Security Compliance:Ensure storage security best practices are followed, including encryption and access controls Enforce data retention policies to comply with industry regulations (HIPAA, GDPR, ISO 27001, etc Conduct regular backup validation tests to ensure recoverability Documentation Team Collaboration:Maintain detailed technical documentation for storage configurations, policies, and troubleshooting procedures Work closely with Cloud, Network, and DevOps teams to support infrastructure requirements Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers Required Skills Experience: 10+ years of experience in enterprise storage and backup engineering Strong expertise in Veritas NetBackup (Installation, Configuration, Troubleshooting) Hands-on experience with NetApp storage arrays:NetApp 3132 Q-VNetApp 224CNetApp AFF A300NetApp FA58040 Experience with NetApp ONTAP (CLI GUI) Knowledge of SAN, NAS, iSCSI, NFS, and CIFS protocols Strong troubleshooting skills using NetApp Active IQ, AutoSupport, and Splunk Experience with backup automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python, Ansible) Familiarity with storage networking (FC, iSCSI, Ethernet, VLANs, Zoning, Multipathing) Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have): NetApp Certifications: NCDA, NCIE (ONTAP, Data Protection) Veritas Certifications: Veritas NetBackup Administration Experience with cloud storage solutions (Azure NetApp Files, AWS EFS, Google Filestore) Knowledge of ransomware protection strategies for backups and storage Role: System Administrator / Engineer Industry Type: IT Services & Consulting Department: Engineering - Hardware & Networks Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent Role Category: IT Network Education UG: Any Graduate PG: Any Postgraduate

Strong experience with performance tuning, disaster recovery, and capacity planning. Proven ability to lead and mentor a team, ensuring adherence to best practices and high-quality deliverables. Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Preferred: 10+ years of experience in backend system management and support. Experience in the insurance or financial industry. Knowledge of additional backend technologies or tools.
