Backup Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in configuration, monitoring, and daily operations of Druva and Commvault backup environments.
• Learn and support daily backup job status checks, failure analysis, and job reruns.
• Help maintain backup schedules and retention policies under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Participate in backup and restore testing activities.
• Document procedures, configurations, and routine tasks as per standard operating practices.
• Coordinate with the L2/L3 teams for issue escalation and resolution.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree/diploma in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Basic understanding of backup concepts, data retention, and recovery processes.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (IP, DNS, ports, etc.).
• Eagerness to learn enterprise backup tools like Druva and Commvault.
• Must have own conveyance and be open to travel to client locations if required.
• Good documentation skills using MS Office or equivalent tools.
