We seek for a dynamic and experienced Branch Manager to lead our Kolkata branch. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of freight forwarding (Air & Ocean), and the ability to drive operations and business growth. This is a strategic role requiring coordination across departments, customer handling, team management, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the overall Kolkata branch.
• Develop new business opportunities and grow existing client accounts.
• Achieve sales targets and contribute to revenue growth.
• Manage P&L for the branch
• Lead and guide teams handling Air and Ocean freight.
• Ensure smooth execution of shipments – including pricing, booking, documentation, and co-ordination. 
• Coordinate with internal and external teams to deliver competitive solutions.
• Drive business development activities to expand the customer base and revenue.
• Ensure accurate and timely billing and invoicing.
• Provide timely updates to management on branch performance and KPIs.
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering a positive work environment.
• Liaise with airlines, shipping lines, and other service providers.
• Maintain strong co-ordination with customs brokers for clearance activities. 
• Build strong relationships with customers and industry stakeholders.
• Identify market trends and generate strategic sales plans.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in freight forwarding industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Good understanding of both Air and Ocean freight processes.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer handling skills.
• Proficiency in documentation, shipment tracking, and industry software.
• Ability to drive targets and ensure operational efficiency.
