I. JOB DETAILS

Job Title

Attending Consultant

II. JOB PURPOSE

To ensure smooth services in the hospital and take care of Inpatients in I.C.U.

III. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

 

 

 

 

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Assessing and diagnosing patients to determine if and what kind of treatment they may need.
  • Meeting with the families of patients to keep them updated on the patient's condition and surgery details.
  • Keeping records of patients, their diagnosis and medical history.
  • Writing prescriptions for patients for all needed medication.
  • Ordering, performing, and interpreting results of diagnostic tests, such as bronchoscopy, endoscopy.
  • Assessing and diagnosing patients, prescribing treatments, and monitoring the patients' progress.
  • Performing basic administrative and business tasks, attend the outside camp, writing prescriptions, and filling out paperwork.
  • To be available for emergency calls.
  • To demonstrate effective application of technical & professional knowledge.
  • To facilitate teaching and training programs of nurses, Technicians, I.C.U. staff.
  • To provide medical care as required by the patients admitted in critical care units.
  • To co- ordinate on matters relating to Provision of infrastructure and maintenance support, selection of medical consumables and equipment to be procured.
  • Keep detailed records of procedures.
  • Teamwork with nurses, technical staff, other doctors and any medical students in the workplace.
  • Filling out all paperwork involved in each process.

V. JOB REQUIREMENTS/SPECIFICATION

Minimum Qualification

  • MBBS, MD/DNB Pulmonary Critical Care

Experience

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
