Assistant Manager - NPD

Job Summary:

· The NPD Manager leads the development of new plastic injection molded products from concept through production. This role bridges design, tooling, manufacturing, and quality to ensure timely and cost-effective product launches that meet customer and regulatory requirements

Job Description:

· Define and manage the product development roadmap for injection moulded components

· Collaborate with design, tooling, and manufacturing teams to ensure DFM (Design for Manufacturability).

· Oversee Mold design, prototyping, and validation processes

· Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for tooling and material sourcing.

· Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, RoHS, REACH).

· Lead cross-functional project teams and manage timelines, budgets, and risks.

· Drive continuous improvement in product quality and development efficiency.

· Report project status to senior leadership and stakeholders.

· Create and review 3D models, 2D drawings, and engineering documentation.

· Conduct mold trials, validation, and troubleshooting during development.

· Apply DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles.

· Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure a smooth product launch.

· Participate in FMEA, APQP, and PPAP activities.

· Maintain compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or related field.

· 8+ years of experience in NPD within plastic injection moulding.

· Strong knowledge of mold design, tooling, and polymer materials

· Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) and project management tools.

· Familiarity with GD&T, FMEA, and APQP processes.

· Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
