Academic Counsellor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Academic Counsellor to provide guidance and support to college students regarding higher education opportunities. The role requires visiting various colleges, conducting career counselling sessions, and assisting students in making informed decisions about their academic future. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, in-depth knowledge of higher education pathways, and the ability to build strong relationships with students and academic institutions.

Responsibilities:

• Visit colleges and engage with students through seminars, workshops, and one-on-one counselling sessions.
• Provide detailed information about higher education options, including universities, courses, scholarships, and admission processes.
• Assess students' academic backgrounds, interests, and career goals to recommend suitable education pathways.
• Guide students in preparing for entrance exams, application procedures, and visa processes (if required).
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with college administrators, faculty members, and student bodies.
• Organize and participate in education fairs, career events, and campus drives to promote higher education opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in education, Counselling, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in academic counselling, student advisory roles, or education consulting.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong knowledge of national and international higher education systems, admission processes, and scholarship opportunities.
• Ability to travel frequently to different colleges and educational institutions.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools for maintaining student records.
• Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of working independently.
