Job Description

About

Elsewhere Weddings is a boutique wedding planning studio. These are not big fat weddings heavy on production and show. This is client focused work, about understanding the couple's vision, interacting with them closely, coordinating with vendors, giving honest inputs and doing what is in the best interest of the client. You will need to be thoughtful, respectful and service oriented in how you work.

About the role

I am looking for someone who is already working in luxury hospitality and has been part of guest experience, events, or weddings. You have seen how things work on ground, you are confident with communication and you know how to carry yourself in a polished, professional setting.

This is a part time role with Elsewhere Weddings where I am looking for someone who can own and lead parts of the planning process; someone I can count on to move things forward, not just assist. Someone who is excited to be part of beautiful weddings and thoughtful processes.

This could be perfect for someone looking to explore a transition into wedding planning, taking a purposeful break to try something new, or simply wanting to be part of meaningful work. If things align well, I would love to bring you on as a full-time wedding planner in the future. These first couple of months will be about seeing how we work together, how aligned we are and if we are the right fit for each other.

Key responsibilities

  • Leading specific parts of the planning process from client communication to timelines to vendor coordination
  • Understanding the client's vision and offering advice that is thoughtful and in their best interest
  • Being part of regular touch points and client interactions. This is a high contact role, not just backend planning
  • Giving 2 to 3 hours a day on weekdays with flexible timing, as long as we stay aligned
  • Working closely with me, with enough independence to run parts of the work yourself

This is not

  • A full-time role (to begin with)
  • A training heavy position. You should already be familiar with hospitality
  • A production heavy, decor first job. This is planning first and client first
  • An admin only role. I am looking for presence, insight, and leadership

Requirements

a) Essential Experience:

  • Experience in luxury hospitality with guest experience, events or wedding coordination
  • Proven track record in high touch client environments
  • Strong communication skills and professional presence

b) Valuable Add ons (Not Required):

  • Social media management and content creation
  • Hotel outreach and vendor relationship building
  • Blog content writing and storytelling
  • Design sensibility and proficiency with tools like Canva
  • Photography or styling background

Compensation:

  • ₹15,000 to ₹20,000 per month for 10-15 hours per week (2-3 hours daily on weekdays)
  • Scope to increase after 1 to 2 months based on how things go
  • Potential to transition into a full time role, with excellent remuneration, if we are a good fit

Additional benefits

  • Flexible part-time schedule with weekday focus
  • Opportunity to grow into wedding planning in a deeper way
  • Work with clients in premium/affordable luxury settings
