VB.Net Developer

Job Description

We are looking for a VB.NET Developer with solid experience in the .NET Framework to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of professional development experience and be comfortable working in both new and legacy codebases. Exposure to .NET Core is a strong plus and shows your eagerness to evolve with the Microsoft ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using VB.NET on the .NET Framework
• Collaborate with other developers, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver reliable software solutions
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing code
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices
• Assist in migration projects from legacy .NET systems to newer architectures (.NET Core or higher)
• Document technical processes and solutions

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on development experience with VB.NET and .NET Framework
• Understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server and database design
• Ability to work with legacy codebases and refactor when needed
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with .NET Core
• Knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, or WinForms
• Experience with version control (Git, Azure DevOps, etc.)
• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies
• Understanding of modern DevOps practices and CI/CD is a plus
