Position Senior Underwriter Experience – 2 to 8 years Notice – Immediate to 30 days Job Description: The Underwriter will be responsible to verify and analyse complex information in accordance with policies procedure to process and evaluate mortgage loan applications. The Underwriter must use their business judgement to ensure mortgage applications meet regulatory guidelines. Job Responsibilities: • Candidate should have total 2+ years of US mortgage underwriting experience • Should be well versed with FNMA, FHLMC, GNMA and investor guidelines • Should be able to evaluate complete loan documents and provide approval or denial decision • Should be thorough in Income calculation – Salaried income, business income, retired, other income and rental income • Assets verification include borrower’s bank account statement, retirement accounts, mutual funds and other investments • Complete review of credit report to verify trade lines, derogatory accounts, public records and credit reconciliation • Credit analysis based on borrower’s Income, Asset, Liability and Collateral (4C of Underwriting) to determine the credit worthiness of a customer • Complete review of Collateral including Appraisal review and Property Valuation • Complete review of the required closing conditions to approve loan and communicate requirements to clients • Should be able to validate and process the Loan documents on behalf of a Mortgage lender organization • Should be able to evaluate evidence of borrower’s willingness and ability to repay the obligation • Should have good analytical and problem-solving skills • Should have decision-making skill when applying in business judgement • Should ensure deliverables meet Productivity, Quality TAT per client SLAs • Good communication, Presentation skills, Self-motivated and hard working
